Control your Windows PC with your iPhone

An iPhone works with a Windows PC too. RPad makes your iPhone or iPad a wireless trackpad, keyboard and presentation remote for Windows, and your Apple Watch can change slides.

Use it to run a living-room PC from the couch, to present from across the room, or to reach a PC that's connected to a TV or projector. It connects over your Wi‑Fi, end-to-end encrypted.

Download on the App Store

How to set it up

  1. On the PC, download RPad for Windows (Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11) and run the installer. Allow it through Windows Defender Firewall on private networks when asked.
  2. On the iPhone or iPad, install RPad from the App Store, open it and allow Local Network access.
  3. With both on the same Wi‑Fi, tap your PC and type the 6-digit code shown in the RPad tray window. You only pair once.

Can't see the PC? Tap Connect by IP Address… and enter the address from the tray menu, or turn on Direct Wi‑Fi on both. More tips on the support page.

What works on Windows

Not available on Windows yet: Screen mode (seeing the PC's display on the phone) and Apple Pencil pressure.

Private and encrypted

Pairing needs the code on your PC, and everything is encrypted end to end. RPad has no account and no cloud and collects no data. Licence keys are checked on the PC itself.

Two one-time purchases, each with a free 7-day trial: RPad Pro on the App Store ($5.99, includes iPad, Apple Watch and the Mac app) and RPad for PC (US$9.99, for all your Windows and Linux PCs). No subscriptions.

Using a Mac too? The Mac app is free: see use your iPhone as a trackpad for your Mac. On Linux, try RPad for Linux (beta).

Questions

Can an iPhone control a Windows PC?

Yes. Install RPad for Windows on the PC and RPad on the iPhone, pair them with the code once, and the iPhone moves the pointer, clicks, scrolls and types on the PC.

Do I need iTunes, iCloud or a cable?

No. RPad connects over Wi‑Fi on your local network. No cable, Apple account sign-in on the PC or extra software is needed.

Does the App Store purchase include Windows?

No. RPad Pro covers iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. RPad for PC is a separate licence that works on all your Windows and Linux PCs.

Windows warns about an unknown publisher. Is that safe?

SmartScreen can warn about a new publisher while its reputation builds. Check that the publisher is "Nurhak Altin" and choose Run anyway.
